Please RSVP
An office where I’d expect good English follows the typical error pattern when they write:
“Please RSVP to America Presents Coordinator”
Apparently not everybody knows that R.S.V.P. stands for
Répondez s’il vous plaît (“reply, please“)
So, “Please reply, please” seems a little redundant. Also the phrase is commonly used to denote that it is necessary to confirm the attendance while it actually asks for a reply regardless of the guest‘s intention.
