What’s wrong with Christmas?!

well, You’ve seen the title of the post. This is your X-mas challenge, next time you meet me, please tell me what is wrong with the Christmas card above (check the label of this post for a hint)

Poached Eggs

poach – 1. kulin. gotować we wrzątku (jajko, rybę l. owoce); ~ed egg jajko w koszulce.
2. pot. odbijać, odbierać (np. klientów konkurencji)
tyle Kościuszko – oczywiście także kłusować i coś do czego będzie pasowało śliczne polskie słówko “taplać”

a culinary ignorante as myself would think these are the same as jajka po wiedeńsku

btw: regardless of what the chefs are saying you don’t need to stir the water for your poached eggs, it’s enough to add a splash of vinegar

Keep your fingers crossed

fingers crossed
something that you say to show that you hope that what you have just said will happen or be true.
Fingers crossed, we’ll get the job done in time, but there’s still an awful lot to do.

behind someone’s back

if you do something behind someone’s back, you do it without them knowing, in a way which is unfair.
I don’t want to talk about it behind his back. She was accused of going behind her colleagues’ backs to talk to management.
